MRTC Doubles Competition – May 29th, 2021

Congratulations to Cary and Lavinio for winning the first doubles tournament of the season. Despite being a One Day Doubles tournament the most we can handle is 3 matches per day – nothing left in the tank - so the Doubles final was played on Monday. Group A) Cary/Lavinio Jordan/Dean Joe/Diane Silvia/Rick Group B) Clay/Juraj Nik/Thomas Tony/Robert Bruce/Darian Perry/Simon Great Weather, Great tennis, good club vibe - Everybody enjoyed a great day of tennis. MRTC One Day Singles #1 – May 15, 2021

Congratulations to Robert Socha for winning the first MRTC Singles one day tournament. Robert Lavinio Bruce Darian Juraj Eddy David We lost Lavinio at the beginning of the final due to injury. Bruce promptly was appointed and stepped in for an exhibition final against Robert. And boy did he give Robert a run for his money to the delight and approval of half a dozen local tennis pundits. Way to go Bruce! The winner was tennis, everybody had a great time. We were done by 2pm with plenty of the day left to spend with families or around the yard.

The 2017 Tennis Season Is Right Around The Corner! The 2017 Maple Ridge Tennis Club’s season is going to be a busy one. We have a lot of events planned and some changes to our existing programs. 2016 MRTC Singles Tournament

2016 MRTC Singles Tournament It is that time of year again for the MRTC singles tournaments. These will officially start after labour day but we need everyone to sign up ASAP. These are the club tournaments (Men’s and Women’s draws) so there is no entry fee — but you must be a club member. Due to the range of playing abilities I plan to do a compass-type draw, or round-robin depending on numbers. Usually the women’s event will be round-robin. The intent is that everyone will get 3 or 4 matches. I would encourage everyone who is prepared to make
