2024 Golden Ears Cup

August 10, 2024

The format for the Golden Ears Cup is similar to the Davis Cup with a men’s and women’s division.

Entries will be teams of two. Pick your partner!
Matches will be comprised of 3 sets; 2 singles sets and 1 doubles set. (either a 6 game set with no tie-breaks or a “fast 4” set depending on how many teams enter)
Each player will play one singles set against one player on the other team (eg. Team A player 1 will play Team B player 1. Then Team A player 2 will play Team B player 2.)
Both players will play a doubles set against the opposition two players.
All 3 sets will be played regardless if one team wins the first two sets as total sets won will break ties if there is a tie after a round-robin.
The loser of the coin-flip or racquet spin has to say who is playing the first singles match. The other team then gets to choose the matchup they want.

The total number of teams entered will be capped at eight for each division. Register now before all spots are filled!

For players who can Serve, Rally & Score. Program focused on continuing with fundamentals and strokes learned at the IMPROVE IT level. Players will be introduced to topspin, cross-court/down the line rallies as well as agility and footwork. Players will get a chance to practice matchplay with classmates

Experience:

Is able to serve, rally and keep score
Can rally consistently from baseline (10+ Rally)
Knows proper scoring
Must commit to atleast 2 days a week
